FAQ
What is AdaptiTimer?
AdaptiTimer ist a simple, lightweight, freely programmable Interval-Timer.
An interval timer not only saves one countdown, but several in a row. With an interval timer, you can structure tasks over time. For example, in training, business, or education.
AdaptiTimer allows you to create your own intervals as you wish.

Why does AdaptiTimer want to access my health data?
The timer requires Apple Health technology to run in background mode. Background mode is a component of Apple Health technology and cannot be used without it.
In background mode, the timer continues to run in the Dynamic Island or on the lock screen while you do other things on your iPhone. You can grant access to Apple Health in any mode (for example, “Workouts”).
If you do not grant access to Apple Health, the timer will function normally. However, the timer display will not update reliably in background mode. Once you return to the app, you will see the current time and interval again.
AdaptiTimer does not read, save, modify, or update any of your data in the Health app!
Where and how are my timers saved?
The timers are stored in a database on the iPhone. The app does not transmit data to any servers.
How many timers and intervals can I save?
Unlimited. (You can roughly estimate between 1.7 and 2.7 million intervals before 1 GB of storage on your iPhone is filled)
How accurate is the timer?
The app’s timer resolves to one second. This is a compromise between accuracy and battery life for the iPhone.
The timer should not be used for critical time tracking. This applies to all timer systems on a smartphone or smartwatch. Operating system activities and background processes of other apps can affect the accuracy of the frequency sensors.
Never use app-based timers for applications that could pose health or material risks!
Why does the first second of an interval seem to be omitted?
For example, a 10-second interval starts at 10.0 seconds and then immediately jumps to 9.9, 9.8, 9.7 seconds, etc. However, these fractions of a second are not displayed on the screen.
Why does a 0 appear for the last second?
The interval only ends at 0.0 seconds. After 1.0 seconds, there are 0.9, 0.8, 0.7 seconds, etc. However, these fractions of a second are not displayed on the screen.
Can I save a backup of my timers and intervals?
Not yet. Feel free to email me if you need this feature.
